PS 111 Little Library on 53rd

PS 111 families support literacy! Pick out free books from our new little outdoor library on 53rd St, near the entrance to the school yard.

Books are available for a range of reading levels and interests, and are updated frequently.

Tree Bed Cleanup

PS 111 students should experience a clean, beautiful environment when they arrive at our school.

To help provide that environment, PS 111 parents cleaned 14 tree beds around the school just before Thanksgiving, by:

• Removing & composting 65 gallons of weeds, while leaving the native plantings on 52nd.
• Picking up 24 gallons of trash.
• Discarding multiple pounds of animal waste.
• Mulching every tree bed adjacent to the school on 52nd, 53rd, and 10th Avenue.

This tree bed cleanup & beautification was performed by PS 111's Title I Parent Advisory Council, with funding from the PS 111 PTA.
