P.S. 111 PTA

Our garden is fully planted!

The garden now has purple beans, an unknown type of bean from NYPL, carrots, deer's tongue red lettuce, edible ornamental beets, basil, gourds, cucumbers, sunflowers, and melons.

The interest in our new, small garden has been amazing, with students in Pre-K, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades participating.

Thank you to the students, teachers, and parents who helped plant the garden; to our supporters within the PS 111 community who helped fund the expansion of the garden; and to KidsGardening.org and Crescent Garden for donating the original containers, equipment, seeds, providing us with a grant to support the garden, and giving us a discount when we purchased the third and fourth containers!

Thank you to the ~100 students, family members, and volunteers who attended our eighth PS 111 Family Movie Night on Friday, May 23rd!
